Dear Friends:
I would like to start by telling each and everyone that Refuge Trio has come in contact with
how blessed we have been to have friends like you. We never know how God will change
our plans, however when He leads a different way we must follow His direction. The year
2008 brought about one big change for myself; on August 10, 2008 I announced my call to
preach. After much prayer I knew that God was leading me in a different way and I always
want to be obedient to His call. After that time Refuge Trio continued to sing and I told the
girls that I was just going to let the Lord lead in the steps to come. In December of 2008 a
local church, Macedonia Baptist Church, asked if I would fill in for them as they were looking
for a pastor. I told the pulpit committee that I would be glad to fill in but I didn't think that the
Lord was leading me to pastor. Little did I know that He was preparing me at that time for a
new journey. On Dec. 21st 2008 I was announced Macedonia's new pastor and will be
ordained on January 10, 2009.
With that being said I feel as though to be the pastor that God wants me to be I need to be
dedicated to the church and at this time will not take any more bookings for Refuge Trio.
Sonya and Susan both have accepted my decision with the up most love and respect.
Those two ladies are some of the best singers and Christians you will ever meet. We are
not dis banning Refuge Trio due to hard feelings or bitterness but simply because God is
leading in different directions. I pray that you all will continue to pray for each of us as we
continue to strive to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
